Starting Over

The best thing about starting over is that we can always do so, right now. No matter how far out things become, we can always begin again, from right here. The liberation and absolution within this eternal moment is always here beside us, like an old familiar friend waiting for us to take notice once again. Arms wide open ~R~

Inner Peace

If you are reading this - You can experience true inner peace.
Right Now

In this very moment
There is no-thing required of you
No “where” you have to go
No “tomorrow” to worry about
And no bills to be paid

In this space
there is Nothing you need to do
Other than to be who you are
Right now
Doing what you do
Exactly as you do it

By my account, what we consider “time” is made up of an infinite amount of these moments and they are forever present for us to take notice. Within each of these moments we are always connected and collectively experiencing life as one. Wishing you beautiful moments! ~R~

Ephemeral Reflections

The body is ephemeral as a bubble
Made of water and dancing chemicals
With the divine breath of life, Its form appears
Reflecting the world perfectly as it passes through
Leaving no trace behind
The form dissolves
The breath returns home
Its beauty cannot be captured
Only witnessed and appreciated

Wishing you awareness of your own reflections
They are beautiful art in motion

~R~

Clouds and swimming shoes

We are like clouds coming into existence and disappearing again.
Coming and going, forming and changing.
Every cloud unique, beautiful and perfect.
Destined to be and to not be again.
Returning to the origin from which they began.
Systolic and diastolic patterns, moving in and out
The universal heart beats and there is clouds…
The universal heart beats and here you are…
We come into this world empty handed, and leave the same way.
There is nothing to gain and nothing to save.
But what can you do
should you discover,
Their is nothing to achieve
and nothing to hang onto?
~ Everything ~
Because you can do anything, Everything is possible.

All that is required is a doing.
You have the gift to manifest anything now.
You can smile or frown, pick up a glass of wine, you can laugh or shed a tear.
It's completely up to you.

Try snapping your fingers and
bear witness to the happening right before you.

We are only limited
by
fears
doubts
thoughts
ideas

Thoughts and projections are vastly different from an action like picking up a phone and calling someone. You can think about calling someone for years and never actualize the connection. You can dream about "that day", when things will happen, when everything will be good, when it all clicks together, when you pick up that phone…
Or
You can make that moment a reality now.
A vast ocean of possibility exists in every moment.
We've been swimming on its surface this whole time.
It's

free for all to explore.
We may not see tomorrow but we are here, now.

This moment.

This now.

It is the one place where we all exist.

This is our common thread
it doesn't discriminate between color or race.
This moment does not question morality, religious or political views.
This happening does not judge nor see you, it is you.
The universe spinning above
the universe unfolding within you,
are one in the same.

Thank you for providing me with these words to share
you are my greatest inspiration.

Let go of the small things

Let go of the small things in your life.
As you would a rock falling away from your hand.
Let them drop away from you effortlessly,
Gravity pulling them away without force

Breathe out A sigh of relief
A million small things we create – Breathe in
A million small things we can let go of – Breath out

Many small things become accumulation.
Heavier and heavier we feel their weight.
The pressure they exert upon us makes them seem real.
From the same place they are born, they exist.
From the same place they are born, they will die.

When you have had enough, Drop your load.
Let us practice letting go of the small things often.

Laughter and Liberation awaits you always ~R~

How special you are

Blessed is all life which grows out of the mother's womb.
You are living proof of such things.

For thousands of years, hundreds of your ancestors survived incredible odds and survived long enough have children. Each one of these children also survived uncountable circumstances and was also able to reproduce ad infinitum. From them just one of a million seeds found its way through the dark, knowing exactly where to go and just what to do, without you ever having to think about it. All of your arms and limbs developed of themselves. Your eyes see and your ears hear. A byzantine labyrinth of nerves and neurons came together and do their work effortlessly without any decision ever being made on your part. And here you are, affixed with the human brain: The most densest and most interconnected material per square inch in the known galaxy. Your being here, constitutes nothing less than a miracle. Always remember just how special you really are. ~R~

Innumerable Buddhas

At every moment, I am (you are)
an expression of this universe and what it is doing.
I am the universe writing these words to you.
You are the universe reading them.
There is no separation.

When I do my laundry or feed my cat.
When I prepare dinner for friends
When I kiss my children goodnight
And go to work, all of it is sacred.
I am honored to do these things.

Once realized, life and everything around you,
even the smallest things,
take on a deep significance.

With humility and gratitude I send you these words.

Much Love

A fish seeks enlightenment

Today I remembered a special story.

The story is about a fish who asked his parents "What is the Ocean?" His parents laughed and said "Why its everything around you! You are in it!" Unsatisfied, the fish sought out the advice of his peers and teachers and asked them the same question "What is the Ocean?" only to be met with the same answer and cynicism he received from his parents. "This is the Ocean! You are a part of it!" he was told again!

Still unsatisfied, the fish set off seeking enlightenment from the wisest fish and crustaceans in the sea. An entire lifetime passed and the fish was repeatedly given the same answer over and over.
One day while contemplating the question further the fish noticed something out of the corner of his eye. He turned just in time to see the beautiful and intricate pattern coming towards him. What was this? Was this the answer he had sought for so long? Surely this was much different than anything he had ever seen before.
Moments later he was hoisted up onto the side of a sea trawler inside a net with many other fish. Gasping for air on the side of the boat, he saw the moonlight dancing on the waves of the water below and finally he understood in his final moments that the very thing he was seeking was always around him the whole time.

The reason this story is special to me is because it mirrors many facets of my own journey. It took me a long time to realize that was I was seeking for was right here inside. It wasn't something separate or even obtainable because it was already here. All that was required was letting go and allowing myself to see it clearly. Many of us look outside of ourselves for salvation and answers to our deepest questions, which only takes us further away from the very thing we seek. The best place you can find God is within yourself.

"The kingdom of Heaven is within you" - Jesus

Die before you die

Before you were born,
you never worried about job security or money,
you never heard of things like politics or race
and you knew nothing of sex or religion.
These things did not exist for you,
before you were born.

And all of a sudden...

~ here you are ~

Where one hundred million things,
that once never existed before,
seem to be…

These many things seem terribly important.
We spend this brief moment,
accumulating and fighting over them.
Trying to hold on to them as if they were permanent,
but they all go away.
running through our fingers
faster than quicksilver mercury.

There is "nothing" that can be held onto.
There is "no - thing" that can be held onto.

Every mountain and every star eventually recede from us.
Every person and thought,
every battle you thought you had to fight,
will disappear like it was never there.
there will be no "person" to remember it
Not an inch will be held onto.

~ We come full circle ~

and return to the same place
from which we began this journey,
were none of this ever existed
and none of this ever matters.
A place where worry and failure don't exist.

What happens if you wake up to find
there is no ground below you and no ceiling above?

What could you do if you discovered there
is absolutely nothing you can hang onto?

~ Anything you want ~

You are the rising of the sun
and the setting of the moon.

Blessings on the way.

Anything can happen

It is a rare and beautiful gift to uncover, that every moment contains within, the possibility to start anew. Here we are traveling in a perpetual fountain of new beginning. Despite anything that was ever said or done before, this unattached and uninhibited moment is total and complete freedom to pick up the pen and write this story any way you wish. You are not limited by anything. Every moment, every day contains the promise and possibility, to perform acts of kindness, to help those around you and to lift ourselves up into a higher place together. Every day is a blessing, every moment is a gift. I give thanks for the chance to share these moments and gifts with you. ~R~

Children of the universe

Letting go and falling fast
deep into composed shades and hues
of colors dancing before my eyes
and filling my body and soul
like water in a cup

Inside this quiet space
We all look up to the same stars
The same light touches me too
A million light years traversed
across the ocean's of the mind
and here we are...

~.: Children of the universe :.~

I do not know where we come from
I do not know where we will go
But for now we are here

Odd Shaped Puzzle box

in lieu of what anyone can say about this or that regardless of our religious perspective no matter how far we travel across the seas of Boolean logic it still doesn’t account for this odd shaped puzzle box we find ourselves in, this very moment

Despite my best attempts to understand it, it never comes close to the oddity that I am even here writing this. This space and time, you and everything around us is a part and belongs here beautifully. May you find beauty, unity and wonder in everything you do and are. ~R~

Rising sun greets the evenin moon

Beyond what we "think" is everything else. Despite our best attempts to understand, understanding itself is only a fractional part. Rarely do these thoughts shine light upon the true measure and majesty of "that," of which we find ourselves here within.

Over six billion hearts beating circadian rhythms right now. Countless happenings taking place in this very moment. A baby comes in a grandfather steps out. Light shines and darkness descends. Today I witnessed the rising sun greeting the evening moon. May we not just believe it, but rather find the eyes to see it. Wishing you a beautiful and magical weekend. ~R~

Twenty thousand hours of my life falling through my fingers

Recently I began shredding over ten years worth of pay stubs. Disposing of them was an interesting matter to say the least. Pay stub by pay stub, I watched over five hundred weeks of blood sweat and tears fall through the shredder blades. I destroyed them one by one, week by week to really capture the experience. It was like reliving different phases of my life through past employment. Over twenty thousand hours of my life falling through my fingers. I thought of all the things I had purchased over the years that aren’t anywhere to be seen. It was surreal to bear witness to all of the time we spend amassing stuff that doesn’t even exist anymore. A million things slaved for, passed through the sausage grinder and sent off into oblivion. Then my mind shifts to an ever growing world of six billion people doing the same thing over and over. So I have to stop and ask myself, “What is the point?” It all goes away in the end. No-thing lasts forever, yet we spend a lifetime wasting away for them.

I wonder why that is...

The best things in life are free. These experiences, all of the memories, every emotion and especially you, are the things that seems to me "to be" what really matters. I am blessed by your friendship! Namaste ~R~
